He was a true Renaissance man and a font of knowledge....the mind of an engineer/scientist with the soul of a poet/artist. He'd have been a treasure to meet, for sure. I did email back and forth with him a number of times; he was always polite and generous to a fault with all my questions and very humble and down to earth about things. Fwiw I have spoken with other Harris shop staff on the phone and they are all always super nice and professional. They also carry lots of hard to find stuff, have prices that are competitive with Perf./Nashbar and -to NY, at least - ship faster than anyone. I've paid standard ground ship and gotten stuff in 24 hours via UPS:eek:

BTW - I'm doing major crunches this week, hitting the weights and doing some major aerobics - you should see the hills I have planned for our epic rides. You ... will hate me. Call me SARGENT TUDE!!! Taking you out on some seemingly interesting LA LA flats that turn into this WHEEE down hill and then a girthy uphill challenge you ... will come to adore. Once we land at the flat place - where bar/restaurant - and eventual lunch is - we shall explore the interesting shore of Lake Ontario and then head back thru a pile of rollers that will most definitely wear off your lunch.
