Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations of an entry level tri/TT bike for a 6'5" guy. I ride a 61cm top tube road bike, weigh 220lbs, and would be using this for TTs and shorter triathlon bike legs (up to 1/2 iron).
Thanks,
Tom

Tom, why not just convert your road bike round to a tri/TT machine:

finding a fitter would be a good idea. slowtwitch has some great articles about sizing tri frames and competitive cyclist has a virtual fitter on their site where you take various measurements and put them in a calc. but you need to know what those measurement are and what the numbers mean. that could be a good start.

Thanks. I thought about it. But I ride my road bike a lot and don't really have time to switch back and forth.
I'll try the fit calculator and then look at geometries.
All of the major manufacturers make a bike that could potentially fit you. Without knowing more about your morphology, it's tough to tell which of these bikes would work best for you.
Consider getting fit by a F.I.S.T. certified triathlon fitter, or some other fitter that uses a triathlon-specific fit system.
