hi, i just finished renovating my barracuda grind (go here to see - http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=572073 )

but my brakes are awful. i was thinking of putting disc brakes on it so itd look like one of a kind even if they are just as good as v brakes. anyway, can someone tell me wether i need a special set designed for a 20" wheel? how are they fitted to a wheel? can they be adapted to fit a 20" wheel? just general info. thanks:thumb:

You will have to have a Hub that will accept a disc bolted to it.
You cannot use a standard hub for disc brakes.Profile sells a hub with bmx rear spacing for disc brake use.
You will have to weld a tab on your seat stays down by the drop out to hold the calipier.
I had one on my 26 inch Thursday bmx ,They stop great.

Make sure your cables are properly lubed and get a set of the salmon colored Kool Stop pads. If this doesn't make your brakes work great then you are either a very bad mechanic or the brakes themselves are shot. Disc brakes aren't really a feasible option for this build.

They only have it in 36 and 48h
68 is a lot of spokes.
