I'm hooked on Primo Nate Hanson grips. They are tremendously thick, and quite comfortable.

if you dont want to ride w/ gloves you can wrap the grip with elecrical tape... it looks less ghetto than you think.

Put nickels in the ends to keep from doing the cookie-cutter on crashes, and look for a dense rubber on the grip.

I ride with gloves and still chew through the softer grips, even though they feel so nice. ;)

I used to go through a pair of Primo Degroot grips once a month. The Solid Death Grips were pretty nice while I had them, but at the moment I'm hooked on the Odyssey Team grips (formerly the Rich Hirsch grips); they last about two months, for me at least, they're the perfect length, and they feel a lot like Odi Longnecks.

using tape gets the grips sticky and you get crap on your hands i dont like it.

I used to ride degroot grips and like beerman said.. they wear pretty quick. I've had a pair of V grips for a pretty long time now. I like 'em.
