Anyone doing this ride?

The 200K looks sick... anyone ever done it? Comments?

Thanks!

I ride those roads all the time, it should be awesome. The Peak to Peak highway is gorgeous, and the pavement on the St. Vrain descent is silky-smooth. Bring your low gears for the last mile up to Ward.

I would be doing it, but I'll be starting my 3 week bike tour that day, so if you see 3 dudes and a chick (me, duh) riding up the St. Vrain or heading out towards Estes Park on fully loaded tour bikes, wave!

What's with the loop around Estes ... is it something special or just a way to put in more mileage (as if 110+ wasn't enough...)

Have a great trip!

Hey Crockett - no one has done this supported ride before because this is the inagural year. Full disclosure: I'm one of the ride coordinators. All of the main coordinators are avid cyclists and we are trying to put together a great ride for like-minded folks. I just pre-rode most of the course last week and the ride is going to be wonderful - good roads, great scenery, and some pretty challenging climbs (equal in distance and climbing to the Triple Bypass). We have awesome sponsorship, so the ride will have excellent support, great food, and a wonderful BBQ at the end. I hope you decide to join us, and tell your friends!
