Group Buy - EighthInch Scrambler Group Buy - $110

It's that time again. We're getting in the bulk of our V2 Scrambers in this week so we thought we'd open the gates for group buys.

We're requiring an order of 10 or more frames to get the discounted price of $110 per frame. If all 10+ ship to a single address we'll ship them for free. If they go to unique addresses it would be $15 extra per unique address.

We can take credit card or paypal but we won't ship until 10 frames are paid for. Once we get ten people in on the deal we can get everyone info on how they can pay. Here are some shots of the frame and some specs for those of you who haven't seen them yet.

How long is delivery to canada? And is it the same amount to deliver here?

I completely forgot about international shipping. I'll blame it on it being Monday. The $15 covers domestic shipping to an extra address. Shipping to Canada and most other countries is $55. Canada arrival takes is typically around 1 week but we've seen it take up to 2 on select occasions.

I'm interested in purchasing 2 as long as others jump in on the buy.

Size advice? I'm 6'0", 32" pants inseam, and on a regular road bike I normally ride a 56 or 58 cm--tt length that works well for me is around 570 mm, but I've never ridden SS/Track geometry before. Looking at the geometry, I think 57 or 59 would be right, but I'm not sure how to think about the shorter TT.

And--does the carbon fork save much weight?

I'm in for a white with carbon fork (need more information on the fork to verify this - who made it, labels?). I need advice on geometry like Dre. I ride a 54-55cm TT road bike and am not worried about stand over.

Here's the info on the carbon fork.

It's 600g uncut opposed to the 1160 of the uncut steel fork. The steerer tube is 330mm while the steel one is 300mm. Pictures are attached below. The giant B should give it away but if you need more hints it rhymes with Shmontrager.

Count me in on a white frame with carbon fork (preferably white). However I am not sure of sizing. I ride a Cannondale 2.8 frame from 1996 which is 50cm and I have never ridden track geometry, so not sure of the size. How can I figure out if I need 49cm or 51cm.

I am sort of wondering what fork to choose. I was going to go for the carbon fork, but it only comes in black and I want a white frame. Will that look odd? How much more heavier would the steel fork be as compared to carbon and does it steer way different than carbon?

Post #7, above, gives the weight of the carbon fork as 600g uncut, vs. 1160g uncut for the steel. 560g is about 20 ounces, 1.25 lbs. Huge savings.

I decided not to worry about how a white frame with a black fork would look. Wouldn't do it with a painted fork, but since it's raw carbon I figure it will be cool. Does stop my "100% white look" plan, however.

Unless you're going to do trix, for $30 the carbon fork is a no-brainer, I think.
