Ok I've been lurking around these forums for a few weeks now researching road bikes so next summer when I've saved enough cash I can buy a bike. In doing so I've deciphered a bit of the jargon.

e.g.
FD = Front Derailleurs
RD = Rear Derailleurs
etc...

A lot of the terms are pretty much straight forward but for the life of me I can not figure out what "crit" means. Anyone want to fill me in ??

Just be glad you don't ride a recumbent because you'd have twice as many acronyms to learn.
