What's with all the equipment failures on the phonak team? I've counted like 6 flats, 2 broken handle bars on that one team so far from the videos I've seen. Did they go wrong with equipment somewhere? I mean the other teams don't seem to be having so many failures.

G'day,

Dunno....I reckon those BMC's are living on the edge of technology though. They certainly have a unique look,

What would you expect from Tyler Hamilton's team?

Cheap, Light, Reliable, pick any 2.......

Note: this response was posted earlier, and I think the poster attributed the quote to Keith Bontrager!!

HA!

Bontrager did not come up with this, the first Tour de France was not in 1999, and Trek did not make worlds first bicycle.

That too, but I was talking about "the curse". Tyler's a walking (pedalling?) disaster! Can't help but cheer for the guy though.

g'day,

yep I'd love to see him win....especially after the gutsy effort he put in last year.Dis that film that was being made of Tylers tour ever get released over there?.If so, is it available on DVD?, we didn't get it here. Does he have some sort of design association with BMC? (Abit like you know who with Trek). BMC's aren't distributed in OZ yet, so I don't really know that much about them....but they sure look different,

cheers,

Nope, it hasn't been released yet. This fall.

I don't think Tyler has any association with BMC other than he rides one.
He does have association with Zipp and if I read correctly has input
into some design efforts.

I don't think any other team has had as much equipment failure as this team. There's gotta be something about their setup that's causing this.

I think it's definitely Tyler...

With all that sponsorship, I'm sure they would choose "light & reliable".

I believe the correct quote is "Strong, Light, Cheap......pick 2". And I'm pretty certain this has nothing to do with Tylers tire troubles...... However I bet the good people at Continental are getting an ear full.

though i dno't use cont tires, cont has nothing to do with it. the mechanics are choosing the wrong tires. you don't go thin and light when it's raining and tough.

I read Hamilton was having back spasms after the fall. It surely looks the bad luck is following him.
