Can anyone recommend a bike tourist friendly "mom and pop" motel in the area? You know, $50 or less, wifi, laundry, etc.. My wife and I are doing the ACA Washington Parks route and are in Cashmere and should hit Ellensburg tomorrow (Wed.) Might not have internet until then, any advice appreciated.
There's a Super 8 on Canyon Rd, Nites Inn at 1200 S. Ruby. The more reasonable one might be the Thunderbird Motel on University Way - not sure of the room condition. Phone number for the Thunderbird is 509-962-5585. I'm not sure of the rates at any of these.
I'll step out on a limb here because my wife didn't give an emphatic no. I've got my camp trailer in the driveway getting ready for a trip on Monday of next week. It's available if you want to spend the night in it - and it's free. You'd just have to put up with a torn up, yet functional, kitchen - had a big water leak a couple of weeks ago. PM me if interested. We're about 10 miles NE of Ellensburg.
