Cyclocross - tricross wobble

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I took out my brothers tricross because I've never used brifters and was excited to try them. The brifters were great but my brothers bike kept wobbling. The tires were a little low on air but I donīt think that could have really been it. The front end dances all over the place. I'm a longtime cyclist and I have very good balance and I found the wobble to be really bad. What's going on here? I've never rode a bike that wobbled this much. It's a size 53.

It'd probably have a little more "wobble" than a road bike simply because the bottom bracket is higher for cross racing, but I can't imagine it'd be bad. I have a road bike and 2 Tricross bikes and I don't notice any difference in handling.

Nevermind, it was the tire pressure, I guess I just don't know a damn thing about fatter tires.

no, it was the tyre pressure.
