There have been many great races, and some great stages this year. But for me, I would have to go with Stage 18 in the Giro d'Italia. On a day everyone thought Cunego would crack, he thrived and won the stage. It was Simoni that cracked.

How about you guys?

I can't speak to that, since I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it.

I would probably consider LBL as the best day of racing so far this year as well.

My favorite personal ride of the year though was definetly Sella's stage win at the Giro. The route (profile) of that stage was something I really admired. One of the best stage or race profiles I've seen.

Only because I was there, I loved attending the Stage 9 individual time trials in Lugano, Switzerland for the Tour de Suisse. I was right at the start line and I got to see the riders come up one at a time, and I thought it was exciting at the end. Jan was behind by a few seconds, so he finished second to last, and the roar of the crowd as we screamed his name and beat on the sideboards as he approached, then when he took off, everyone just lost it. He won that day, and it was a truly fun day for me. Lugano is a beautiful town too, and the ride to get there by train was stunning, and the subsequent ride by train into Lake Como was spectacular. I practically floated back to the train after a very enjoyable race.

I attended a few stages of the Giro, but the Tour de Suisse was definitely more fun.
