I bought a set of used Mavic 501 hubs and a NOS Sachs 7spd 12-26 freewheel last year and never built it up. Is it worth it to sell these parts? What would they be worth?
As you can see the hubs are in beautiful shape. the sealed bearings spin like butter (I didn't know butter spins). The hubs have the original skewers which are a bit on the rough side..

my favorite hubs...I've bought pairs in OK condition for $50, but these look to be in better shape, and have skewers. If you can find somebody who knows them (and to know them is to love them) and needs a pair (I don't) maybe $75, maybe more if you're lucky. I also like those Sachs FWs, too but don't go gah-gah over them: maybe $30-40 since it's NOS (I'd rather pay $25, myself).

Good to hear since I have 4 sets of these and I'm planning on building one set with open pros.

Those look nice. Just one question about pic #3 though, is that freewheel on loose or on snug?????

If it's on tight, it isn't coming off easily.

Loose. I just spun it on for the pic.

One more question. Should I sell the freewheel with the hubs or separately?
