But it's the week before Everest Challenge and an even farther drive from the bay area. There's no way I can do it and EC. Is anyone here going to do it? I'd like to see this event succeed so I can ride it next year.

Are you doing EC? I just read the ride profile and those are some crazy climbs. Have you done it before? Good luck!

You should! And report back how it went. I like the change in the course- doing 9 mile first seems like the best direction to go, although having a bunch of rolling terrain at the end is still not going to be easy when you're tired.


Are you doing EC? I just read the ride profile and those are some crazy climbs. Have you done it before? Good luck!

This will be my fourth time at EC- I couldn't finish it the first year but I finished it the last two years. I got 15th in the 4/5s and 12th in the M45s (a faster race) last year. I'm hoping to better that this year. There's tediously long race reports from all of them on my blog.
