I really need to stop doing this. But it makes me crazy when they give the weather forecast and neglect to mention windspeed and direction! I mean, doesn't everyone care about windspeed and direction?!

Sigh. Back to work

I don't usually yell. I just sigh a four letter word and proceed to head out in the the 20km headwind that is being forecasted when I leave for work and seems to change direction just in time for me to go home.

I was sighing several four letter words on my ride yesterday afternoon with the head wind I was getting...that wall never let up for about my entire ride...of course, like you, it let up about 2 miles from my house...oh well...hopefully tomorrow morning it will be better...

Sure, it might be better, but don't count on the weatherman letting you know! ;)

I like to use weather.com hourly forecast - gives wind direction, speed, dew point, etc.

I can't speak to the accuracy, but any forecast beyond 12 hours is worthless

What I hate is when the predict 0% chance of precipitation a week ahead and then change it to 20-30% chance. Logically, you can't do this :crash:

Or when someone says it's "supposed" to rain when the forecast says 30% chance. Is a flipped coin "supposed" to come up heads??!!??

All the time!!! It has rained so much here, I have not been able to commute to work once this year!

Yeah, I'm in Lexington, KY and it has been a wet year. When it has rained, it has POURED. Biblical type porportions. It has been really amazing. I have been able to commute a little though. Hell, I'll ride in rain. I find it invigorating, but I don't care to dodge lightning bolts. 1.21 gigawatts kinda scares me. At least until I can get an all carbon bike. ;)
