Hi! I picked up this adorable Peugeot single speed conversion and I'm curious which model it is/was before someone got their mechanicky hands all over it. I'm going with PH8. Paint is beat to high hell, but no rust. Anyway, any ideas on what something like this might bring? I'm gonna keep it no matter what, but curiosity you know...

Thats an interesting question and it realy depends on your local fixie/SS market. I could sell it as it sits for $150.

What was it originaly? A 1981 PBN10 which was more or less a UO10 with 700c wheels.

Hey Jim,
I've seen from your posts that you're all things Peugeot, but I am slightly skeptical on the PBN10 diagnosis because of those little mounts on the bottom side of the top tube. Even in the pics on the catalog they're on the top... thoughts?

p.s. There's also a partially removed decal on the frame that appears to have said "Made in Canada." I don't know if that means anything or changes anything. Oh, and there are definite shadowed areas where there was once the attached pump. I don't know if the PBN10 had that.

That expalins it. Its a UO-lineage type frame. PH frames had no lugs.

So what about that fork? No silver tips? Is it just a freakshow, or...? Either way, thanks for all the help!

No, its not a freak show. Its Canadian.

UO lineage = AO lineage therefore half painted fork have no relevance.

I like the Corvair, but I think the spoiler probably slows it down, some.
