Hey guys, first post and hope one of you guys can help me with this problem.
Ok, so I have a 2001 Gary Fisher Tarpon that has lasted me a very long time, but over the past year I've been having some problems with it.
-- So, When I first take the bike out for the ride and I press on the pedals pretty hard to get the bike rolling, or when I stand up and try to pick up speed, it feels like the gear is hopping. Right when I press down hard, the chain or something chokes, but stays on the gear. It happens every time I pedal hard, but the chain does not fall off, nor do I feel the gear shifting to a lighter/heavier gear.
When I am cruising, and just pedaling easily this does not happen but once I put pressure on the pedal, it feels like a the chain jumps.
Hopefully somebody has an idea of what is going on, Thanks for looking.
