I'm fairly new to cycling, only started last summer.
I am looking to buy some mens cycling shorts, but I need a BIG Pair. I'm 6'5 ,300 lbs.

Any ideas where I could get some that would fit?

Thanks

Welcome to BF.

Because you are larger than usual, I'd try a few bike shops for starters. They may have to order what you need.

Good luck.

barrda,
You and I are about the same size. I didn't have a problem finding bicycling shorts at all. I wear a size XL shorts. The problem you are going to have is getting up the nerve to wear lycra shorts in public if you have never done that before. Do it once and you'll find that it is not as bad as it may seem. Last year I rode 2200 miles. I lost weight, but I gained muscle.

Good Luck!

I don't know your waist size but www.impsport.co.uk do large sizes and are cut quite generously anyway, certainly more generously than Italian made kit I've bought. You might find bib-shorts more comfortable than non-bib.

Welcome to the forums.

One thing to be aware of is that the European brand sizes can be much smaller than US. For instance, XL fits waist sizes 35-36 in many european brands of cycling apparel. Just make sure you get clarification of what you are getting.

Voler (http://www.velowear.com) has sizes up to XXL. I recently got some of their bib short. They are very high quality with great padding. They have a sizing page that I have looked at before, but for some reason I couldn't get it just now. Go to one of the product pages and click the tiny sizing button to the right.

I just happened to have a Sierra Trading Post catalog (http://www.sierratradingpost.com) so I checked in it. They have some Cannondale shorts up to XXL to fit 41-44 for $32.50. I don't know anything about Cannondale, but maybe others do.

Hope this helps.
