Road Cycling - Okay - I Rode With Someone Else - Fun!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I almost always ride alone or with my wife. Like 99.9999% of the time.

So, today, the owner of our local Fitness 19 Health Club and I went out together. His bike is still in California, but he has years of experience riding - far beyond my experience these last 6 years.

His dad (my age - 64yo) is a biking nut, and they also rode together a lot.

So, I lent him my spare road bike, which, with a minor seat raise, fit him fine for a 25 mile ride.

What a ball. I had a blast. I also increased my average speed about 2 mph, and where I normally go 20mph, I was going 24.

Anyway, we had a great conversation as we went along, we rode about the same speed, and we will do it again!

Now you've done it. Now solo cycling will never be the same. :)
You'll be looking for more cycling partners to go riding with when others can't.
