...“Keeping in mind that in 2011 the Vuelta goes to April, and it’s two weeks, the worlds gets moved up to where it used to be. It gives the guys the opportunity for a couple of weeks at altitude,” Armstrong said. “Race for a week and then go to the worlds, it would be a great fit.”

It is moving to April. My understanding is that it will still be three weeks.

I don't like this move. Too much racing going on in April.

Apparently UCI ProTour manager Alain Rumpf agrees with you. Cycling News article. (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/rumpf-rules-out-calendar-changes-for-worlds-and-vuelta)

It's good that they're leaving it as is. The season would be too short and the Vuelta wouldn't be a real grand tour.

Is Lance in the business of spreading disinformation now? First the Andy Schleck thing, and now this.

“There is nothing like that planned at the moment,” said Rumpf to Cyclingnews on Thursday. “I was surprised to see the story, where Lance Armstrong was quoted as saying that would happen.

I can't see them changing the dates again. The reasons why they moved it in '95 still stand today.

WTF is Armstrong saying? . . .maybe he's gotten a little too much Rocky Mountain High

Or he's just speculating. It wouldn't be the first time a journalist took something out of context.
