Just saw on the news tonight that there is a big fire that started at about 7pm tonight and is already at about 1000 acres in 4 hours. It is somewhere in between Bonny Doon Road, Empire Grade, and Swanton Road. Looks like this might be a big one. It might be a good idea to avoid riding in the area for the next few days. Probably not too safe.
