Hello members,
My name is Ivan and I am new here!
I had a question that I wanted some help with. My wife recently bought me a Nirve Street King Cruiser from this very crumy bike shop in Lomita Ca that totally ripped her off. The reason I say this is because the bike she bought me retails for 570.00 plus tax with all these cool features such as front disk brakes, 3 speed, some cool fenders etc. They gave her the bike for 430 out the door without all these cool features (a stock model). And now they want to charge me close to 300 bucks just for the 3 speed hub and to add front disk brake (thats not inlcuding everything else)!! So my question is...............How hard is it to replace the hub on the front wheel to add disk brakes? The fork has the mounting bracket needed for the caliper but the front wheel doesnt take the rotor. I have an extra brand new Hayes rotor and Caliper that I never used from my mountain bike and would like to use that on this bike but I dont have the right hub. Can anyone please tell me what exact hub I should use for this bike. It has a 26 inch front wheel. The guy at the bike shop showed me a Shimano Hub that we would use if I would of payed him the 300 bucks for the job of adding front disks and the 3 speed hub for the rear but I didnt notice what model it was. I know I can do the hub swap myself but Im lost as to which hub would be the right one. I think the wheel has 34 spokes. Please Help!! Thanks!
