Later Monday at about 9:30 p.m. a 17-year-old was struck by a dart in his hand while biking on Route 40 at Wrangle Hill Road in New Castle. He needs surgery to repair his damaged hand, according to police.


Dang! I was just on Wrangler Hill Rd last Saturday for a 200 miler!

I used a blow-gun and poison-darts to kill rats in a building we were renovating for occupancy by homeless folks in NYC. In the wrong hands, these things are very dangerous. With poison - they are deadly. Many people don't realize the long-range and high velocity these weapons are capable of.

If I found someone doing this - I'd treat it as an assault with intent to commit murder. And react appropriately.

Attempted murder, or assault with a deadly weapon. Both violent felonies.
