Great Lakes - Talk me out of it: Marion Classic

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Its 4 hours from home.
Its a 10 turn crit though the turns look kinda nice.
I'd do 4/5 (40') immediately followed by a 3/4 (45').
I probably could not get a/some teammate(s) to go race this one (though, I have not asked yet...)
Anyone doing this? Know the course? Have raced it in the past? It looks like some kind of hill in there...?

thanks.

This race is in Indiana? You should go teach those cheeseheads a lesson!

Ahem ... 'Scuze me? Was eying this one too but will prob. hit the 12 hr MTB race at Bluemound instead. Looks like a good crit. though!
I just checked the web page. That looks like a good deal. And that race times for 4/5 and 3/4 aren't even so early that you'd have to leave at an ungodly hour.
Related sidenote: Why is it that everywhere else can put on an NRC quality event for $20/race, and we have to pay $27/race to buzz around in a Grayslake subdivision?

When in doubt blame the "Chicago Machine". I blame global warming and it's inventor Al Gore.

ARRRGGHH...I finally had some time to look into that. I would like to. It's near my parents and they could come and watch and we could see them, but it is also on my wife's birthday. No chance I'm messing with that. She's been very supportive this year.
