In a previous post I asked what type of bicycle rack I should purchase for a Grand Cherokee being towed behind a motor home. As suggested I purchase a Thule T2 916. The T2 rides much higher than my old Thule completely blocking the magnetic roof mounted taillights, specifically when the bikes are in a bike bag.
I have seen pictures of a light bar that attaches to the Jeeps roof rack, but I can't find a vendor. The bar was being used for additional headlights. Mounted to the rear of the Jeep with tail lights , the taillights would be high enough over the bikes.
Any suggestions? I am willing to look at other options.

I tried a 6 inch drop-down receiver. It may make the rack to low, possibly hitting on an incline. It also makes the bikes stick out behind the car an additional foot or so. The bike bag needs to be altered to fit the T2. The old Thule will work for the weekend.
