Hello everyone. I have recently been offered a trade of my mid-80's Miyata 110 for a mid-80's Norco Monterey. I love my Miyata, but it's a wee bit too small. I was originally thinking of just getting a longer seat post to see if that would do the trick, but haven't tried that yet. Anyway, it may be like comparing apples and oranges because I don't know much about Norco. So, if anyone has any thoughts as to the value of the Norco compared to my Miyata (other than sentimental) and if it's a matter of ride it, like it, buy it. When I say value, I don't intend to re-sell it, I just don't want to get "taken."
Thanks

I bought one of these for $30 and sold it to a buddy for $60 after new tires/tubes and a complete overhaul.
It was a tan color and a friend even used it for a vintage century I organized a while back. Rider in the floro jersey.

That's pretty nice. I've asked the guy about tires. He says it was stored in a basement for 20 years from new and then he bought it last year, lubed it up and hasn't really ridden it. Not sure why, poor little bike - like a dog begging to go for a run!...I'm going to go see it, ride it.

My Monterey had butted or double butted chromoly tubes and a long cage RD with a 32 tooth freewheel. Had a nice wheelset as well.
