Can someone tell me what on earth or how to use the red lever handle on the Bringheli jig? Whats it for??

Are you talking about the little lever that contains a rubber piece and mounts up on top of the top tube cradle? If so, it is just to hold the top tube secure in the cradle, if not, then I didn't get a red lever and feel ripped off.

I gathered it had something to do with holding the top tube in that cradle, but how does it work? Its way too high... am I missing the rubber piece?

I was told it was the self-destruct switch....you know...just in case the commies get too close and you have to scuttle the operation.
