There is a 912 on local CL. It was first listed as a road bike. I called the guy and that's when he read to me "912" on the top tube, he didn't know anything about bikes and said he had been offered more.
Now he re-listed it and said it goes to the highest bidder.

I don't think it will be possible to see it in person and the seller, (I think he's a teenager) can't say what size it is or condition but he does know it has 600 components.

Do you play the CL auction game or just let it go?

Craigslist isn't eBay; I end up letting them go. It's almost like a person upping his listed price just because he got lots of calls. Flagging is a consideration since no price is explicitly stated.

Flag him. If the guy wants an auction, fine. C/L does not allow auctions. If we all flag him, he will be gone.

Did you notice that bike is relisted today by the guy in HB? I know what the teenager sold it for, he told me, and its now relisted at $325....a good 100% profit if it sells at that.

The first guy only wants the price, knows little about the bike.

The second guy knows the price and the bike.

Pure opportunity knocking.
