The last RR of my season just got cancelled because of fires and heavy smoke.

I don't care; I was ready to put a couple packs worth of cigarette smoke into my lungs in 3 hours just so I could do this thing. I've got some really good form right now.

Anyone in SoCal who planned on doing the Sisquoc road race this weekend should check their email and note that it has been moved to Sept 5th.

Of course I will be back up north in school then :notamused:.

Not sure what kind of riding im doing this weekend now...

EDIT: I guess this means that I will just be JRA until late November. Ill still be riding hard and doing group rides, but I sure as hell won't be on the road at 6am so I can do 2x20's or v02max intervals before class/work. There is a bright side to everything I guess....

Yeah, I had an A race postponed last year because of Hurricane Ike, and I couldn't make the new date. Frustrating, but next season you'll have nearly forgotten about it.

Hey Crash do you ride SDBC or Swami's or Ranchos?

Im going to be home this weekend (Vista) and if I am up on time sat. morning I will ride out to the start of one of these rides and do them.

IDK right now though, im kinda demoralized from the cancelation of this race and a confusing night out in State St. Santa Barbara with all of the other interns, one of whom i'm currently crazy about (female). I've had changing feelings towards her and it's been a very on/off relationship this summer.....

It's a good weekend for me to go home and unwind in San Diego. Maybe ill see you on the road. Probably the last time ill see my parents till December anywho...

Yeah, it sucks but there are some road races up near Sacramento in September I think, should give you something to do.

btw, did you see my thread about the ride yesterday?

San Ardo is next weekend and not too terribly far away.

This actually works out perfectly for me. I wasn't going to be able to make it this weekend anyway.

Sounds like people were having trouble finding hotels on Labor Day weekend so it's going to be on the 29th.

Esammuli are you going to do the Ranchos ride tommorow? Do you ever do the sat. ride? It would probably be a good threshold workout just pulling us around :D.

Im off to bed a min. and im gonna decide what to do in the morning. Most likely I will do my favorite local coast loop which is about 90 min of solid tempo riding not include warmup and cooldown.

umd: Thanks for the link to the post. Haven't checked it out. I was actually just talking to my parents about that ride. Im also coming back tommorow so that I can do the Sunday Worlds ride. Last chance to do it this weekend and I haven't done it yet because sundays have been crits or JRA days, usually both.

Just do University and San Ardo next weekend. Farther away, but better races (OK I never did San Ardo, but University is awesome.) Challenge and Winters are great too, but I didn't do those when I lived in SB, either.

TMonk is moving back to Humboldt after next week

I guess he didn't say that explicitly, but Challenge is closer to Humboldt than it is to SB...
