well after last weekends car door incident, my bad luck continued...
i was biking on some trails last nite and the previous nite we had quite the storm so it wa a bit washed out with alot more roots and holes making it alot more techy.
i went down a steep incline to enter one of the next areas of the trail and my front tire fit perfectly like a puzzle peice in the ground between a root and i endoed a good 10 feet to the bottom of the incline.
landed on my shoulder and all i heard was POP POP POP! when i got up i KNEW i was hurt and called emergency right away. i had to semi crawl back to the entrance of the trail and get someone to help me and help get my bike. the first people i waved down actually told me i had to ask someone else cuz they were busy jogging:notamused:....
none the less after a trip to the hospital, i was informed i broke my collar bone in two places and will take atleast 8 weeks to heal...
what a week for biking....

My condolences. That's a bummer.

During those 8 weeks you should read "The Alchemist." It always, always puts the wind back in my sails.

Then go tear up some miles.

I'm glad you're (relatively) okay. Heal fast!

Tough luck, bro. Recovery soon.

That said, I've never understood the lure of MB, in which falling down seems to be an integral part.

Sorry to hear about the injury. Collarbone breaks happen all to often and are a long time to get back to normal.
Good luck and get well soon.

Collar bone breaks are rough. I had random phantom pains for years and all I did was crack it. Plus that bra they make you wear just isn't fashionable at all...

The callousness of some people is sometimes amazing.

Best of luck to you in the healing process. Clearly this has not been the best of weeks for you.

If you want to amuse yourself sometime, go back to that area with a camera and see if you can catch the same joggers there again. Take their picture and tell them you're sending it to the local newspaper, along with the story of how they left you on the trail with a broken collarbone because they were too selfish to interrupt their jogging.

On behalf of avid runners everywhere, I apologize for those goons. We're not all that callous. =) Get well soon.

That is an excellent idea. Make sure you get a good picture with smiles if possible. Tell them what you're up to after you get the shot.

I (literally) feel your pain, bro; less than a year ago, I broke mine in 5 places. I now have a stainless plate and 8 screws for my trouble.

To the other guy: if you don't see the attraction, then there's that much more trail for the rest of us. (BTW: my c-bone broke on a commute, avoiding a pickup truck, not on a trail)

no motor?
