General Cycling Discussion - St. Louis has great bike trails

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
If anybody here lives in the St. Louis metro area, you can't argue that we have some great bicycle trails. I have been exploring them all summer, and I am very satisfied with what's out there. Most, if not all, of these trails pass through some of the most serene places in our region. I just finished riding the Riverfront trail this morning and I enjoyed it immensely. I've biked Grant's Trail, Queeny Park, Creve Ceour Park, and of course, the Katy Trail. There are many other smaller local trails as well as local streets with low traffic volume that are great for cycling, too. The roadways in St. Louis County aren't bad on the weekends and most automobile drivers are courteous to cyclists. Illinois has numerous trails that I'm dying to check out. Many of these trails are interconnected, and there are some fantastic organizations in our area devoted to expanding existing trails and building new ones. Trailnet (http://www.trailnet.org) is probably the largest, and deserves a lot of credit for the wonderful trails we have to enjoy in St. Louis.
Any other cities out there with great trails and bikeways?

I live in St. Louis and end up using the trails a fair amount. On a weekend morning I might head out to Creve Coeur Park (passing through Forest Park on the way), take that path over towards the river, and then connect to the Katy. A couple months ago I left from my house, caught the Riverfront trail by the Arch, crossed over into Illinois at the Chain of Rocks bridge, and then connected to the Valdabene (sp?) trail to the Brussells Ferry. And the Queeny Park trail is fun for someone like me who isn't into jumping over rocks and roots.
I also like the Castlewood Park trail, although that has some tricky spots (for me). I've tried the Chubb trail and the Weldon Springs trail, and another one out by Six Flags. Those are challenging.
I hope to ride the whole length of the Katy some day.
Denver Fox seems to like the trail system in his part of Colorado. I've been to Colorado a couple times, and really liked the jeep and hiking trails for biking.
