I know someone is going to say "get a BMX!!". But I don't plan on doing tricks just for the sake of it. I'm hoping these "tricks" will build up my skillz and be useful on the trails.

The only "trick" I know is trackstanding. I can trackstand for over 5 minutes (yes, I timed myself yesterday).

Other tricks I would think will come useful:
bunny hop
wheelie/manual

You skillful riders, what other tricks/bike handling skills do you think is handy when it comes to riding on trails?

How do you do a bunny hop? I can't seem to get the rear off the ground. Maybe I should run some clips (have platform now) or SPDs?

How do you wheelie/manual without flipping over? I'm too scared to get it up that high.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Keep a finger on the rear brake lever to keep from looping out when doing a manual.

I've found a Horse-hop is also helpful (resorting back to my BMX days)

but if you cant bunny hop.... never mind lol. Being able to turn and bunny hop is helpful in tight spots.. (rotating while you hop) Balance..... etc.

preload the suspension (it helps, but not needed) and just jump up with the bike... to hard to explain, just do.

grow some.......... manhood.

Heres some advice... quit making official threads that aren't official... it's not funny anymore.
your loosing Gnar points faster than I was.... which honestly I must say is BAD! and hard to do.

Go out and ride.... practice, ride some more...
