For those that ride along the LIE service road:
- Westbound from New Hyde Park Rd to Lakeville Rd, construction has begun on repaving that portion of the service road. Unfortunately, we didn't know this beforehand and found out the hard way. Now we know what the pros go through on the cobblestoned pavement of the Paris Roubaix, lol. No wonder a fellow cyclist on his TT bike was waving eractically to go left at the NHP Rd intersection. We saw him again when we crossed Lakeville Rd and told us he was trying to get our attention. The only downside to making that left to avoid the torn up roadway is having to ride against the eastbound traffic. Hopefully, they'll complete the repaving by this week.
