Got an mtb with those Y-shaped handlebars. Think barends should/could be installed on them? Or should I just go out and replace it with a flat handlebar (which I would perfer, I hate the Y). What do you think?

Fullsuspension or Hardtail?

I personally would not go with bar ends, no real use at all. Keep the risers.

I have 2" riser bars and Ergogrips and I love the ability to switch hand positions quickly. I do crosscountry riding but it at times result in some "accidental" jumps or hucks. the Ergos fit more on the side than sticking out the front so its more like just having a way to turn your hands sideways and spread out a little to stretch my back, hands, shoulders etc.,and they are great on steep climbs too. its all personal choice though,if you dont like it lose it,if you like it and it works go for it
