Road Cycling - TDF video... what has happened?

Those of you who are wondering why the thread is gone, and to prevent the same question: "where is it?" and "what was going on?" to my PM box, I'll make it short.

There was a problem with a single forum member in this forum. He posted a question and when I replied to him: "if you bother to read a few more lines, you wouldn't ask this kind of question *sign*". He got upset and insulted me via PMs serveral times. I then explained the whole story under my thread, this guy got even more upset. He threated Joe (admin) and reported post to the mods that he will tell OLN about this forum has illegal copyrighted files, the mods didn't know the whole story so they deleted them, and Joe wasn't here at that time.

Ironically, while I have to wake up at 9am every morning, recording the files, wasting my time, spending money for bandwidth so members who don't have OLN can enjoy the vids, this one user acted like a jerk, insulted me and accusing this and that just because I didn't let him get into archived folder, which out of 20-30 PMs, he was the only one who got denied. If you guys knew what he has said on his PMs, you guys would do the same.

Having said that, I admit that it's partly my fault, that I could have replied nicer but I was a little annoy too when nobody asking such a useless question but him. Anyway, that how it went, so sorry there is no more vids in the public. I will only share the vids with people I know privately, or until Joe changes his mind.

Thanks for the stages you provided for free Nam! It was a great experience to be able to watch le tour relatively live (and up to speed) everyday! You gave me and I believe many of us something to look forward to at the end of the day!

Thanks again buddy! and whoever was insulting you is defintely troubled... seriously - whoever it was, threatened Nam and as a result no one else can enjoy a service, thanks for nothing and I hope you enjoy your work! No more le tour for folks without OLN.

You are an asset and a friend to these forums and your generosity in sharing the daily TDF coverage has made this year's Tour the best that I've experienced. I don't have OLN and have never been able afford cable, and because of your video postings I've been able to actually follow the Tour up close for the first time in my life. Too bad this one forum member has ruined it for the rest of us. I just want to say thank you again for your generosity. I and I'm sure 99% of the forum deeply appreciate your efforts.

If there's anything you need from sunny San Francisco, don't hesitate to let me know!

Good grief. Sorry to hear about this, nam. I really want to say thanks for your efforts. I am one of the MANY folks here who do not have access to OLN. I would race home after work (bike commuting) to watch.

I could be back Monday at the earliest, just depends on how things will go getting the stuff sorted out. I could very well be back soon, we just can't take a chance right at this second with OLN finding out, if they did it could have been a mess. Things will get sorted out.

Something like that, I remember cause yesterday my gf and I were at the 71st street station but there was no uptown so we walked to 62nd and saw a 7/11 on the way. It was funny too cause I thought to myself, tomrorow's 7/11, just like that store over there. Heh I'll join you for a slushy and a ride but I've got laundry for the next 2 hours.

To clarify a bit more, I had more then one user ask me about the legalities of the videos in the past week, we cant blame this on a single user or single event.

The vids have been up here for a week, no problem at all until this guy came. I even got banned because of the vids but thank to Joe I got my nick back. I just sorry for you guys because you guys are the ones who took loss, not me. I even kind of glad cuz I don't have to do this tedious task anymore.

I got about 10 PMs asking about access, I've responded to all of you with private access, but please, that's all. I won't response anymore to people I haven't exchanged PM before. Too much time has been wasted already, it's time to move on. But I felt really good because you guys liked the vids, thanks :).

I'm depressed, I had not been on for a couple days and wanted to catch up. OLn is not available with our cable in Ct. If there is anyway to get back without a legal mess please give it a shot.

I have been recording each stage and editting out the commercials so I could put it on DVD so I know the amount of work you were investing in it. So sad that anyone wouldn't put forth a little effort and thought and instead decided to attack you personally. Hopefully for everyone that did appreciate it things will work out.

FYI, I was able to find stages 3-8 on SuprNova.org (BitTorrent client required...)

Pfft on the restrictions... You can get all the stages off suprnova. Full length. Not to knock on your policy but it is a slap in the face to those who have enjoyed your videos.

I'm cool operator :), I know many people can get it at supernova, but I just offer alternative way.The restriction is there so I don't get too many emails, what is the point if I can't answer all the requests? people would be more upset because I told them here but I can't deliver right?
