First off, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to everything bicycle related.

I've been searching for a road bike for college - my sole criteria being sufficient size (I'm 6'5" with long legs), price (can't be a tremendous loss if it's stolen), and general condition (I don't have time to fix anything up myself.) This bike just popped up on craigslist and it seems to meet the first and third. But I have absolutely no idea if it's reasonably priced. http://slo.craigslist.org/bik/1326724721.html

Thoughts?

Over priced for my market, but I have no idea about yours. Its a low end bike: stem shifters, steel crank, no frame derailleur braze-on. More like $150 around here.

Looks to be well put together and ready to go.

The question is how much time and effort are you willing to put into finding a nice vintage bike? Around here, only one or two pop up on C/L per week, and given your size requirement, it would be less frequent than that. I have only had a couple of bikes that size in the last year, they are hard to find, and hard to sell (not many buyers out there either).
