The Velo Vise rocks! I've got two of them. I like them because it opens with one hand wide enough to clear the "lawyer lips" on your fork and can be easily adjusted with one hand to fit any dropout thickness. Thule lock cylinders fit them too.

I don't know about the classic... it looks like it attaches with a skewer?
I have the V2 and love the clamping "vise" action of it. adjust it for your fork and it's so quick to load/unload a bike. I think it's just a different version of the Velo Vice.
