Just put a set of EAI brake hoods on a pair of '84 non-aero New Gran Compe levers. The hoods fit fairly tight, but part of the hood covers up the area on the underside where the lever swings in when squeezed. Consequently, without modification these hoods will restrict the motion of the lever during braking.

Anyone have pics showing one of these hoods properly trimmed? I don't want to butcher 'em and have to start over. Thanks.

I don't have a picture but I have used a Dremel tool to reshape a brake hood to fit - I think it looks better than going at it with an exacto knife.

Thanks ParaWK4. I was thinking of using a single-edge razor blade. Using a Dremel seems like a better idea, just don't know how far in to go. Takes about 5 minutes to squeeze one of those hoods on so I'd kinda like to get it right the first time...
