My name's Rich Clark, and I'm a bike commuter from near Philadelphia, PA.
I lived on bikes as a kid and a teenager, but was seduced by the dark side of suburban living for many years. After all sorts of horrible health problems, I got back on the bike as a route to renewed fitness, and it didn't take long to recover my original love for the sport, and not too much longer to recover my fitness.
I do a 26-mile round trip into Philadelphia almost every working day, and frequently head out into the beautiful SE Pennsylvania countryside for 30-60 mile rides, with an occasional century when the day is particularly fine.
I'm riding an Airborne Carpe Diem, set up as a light tourer with touring wheels/tires and a mix of road and MTB drivetrain parts. I got it in June as an early 50th birthday present, to supplement my trusty Novara Randonee touring bike (which is still my rain bike and cargo hauler).
This looks like a happening place, and I look forward to participating, particularly in the Commuting forum.
