Mountain Biking - New to bikes. Can I put rear disc brakes on this?

Hello,
I recently bought a Mongoose XR200; it came with front disc brakes and rear linear pull brakes. I use my (front) disc brakes all of the time, and now I'd like to put disc brakes on the back. I'm pretty sure this bike has the correct mounting for rear disc brakes (see pictures). The problem is that I need the exact same disc brakes that are on the front, on the back as well. If you could identify the disc brakes on the front (see pictures), or tell me how I would go about doing so, it would help me out a lot.

I noticed that too after I looked at it again. It has a key in it as if it were able to support a brake rotor, but it doesn't have anywhere to bolt it.

i could be wrong, but that looks like a department store bike. i think i have seen these come through the service section at the bike shop where i work. sorry to break it to you, but i don't think that bike is worth upgrading. you can try to upgrade that but the rest of the bike is probably not going to last very long. those bikes tend to be very heavy and flimsy. you might be better off riding that bike until it's dead and saving up for a decent bike shop quality bike in the meantime.

what is under that black plastic piece on the hub?

could it be a "centerlock" under there?

That is a non disc hub. Don't try and pry it off its not going to happen.

Yeah, I kind of got that feeling after looking at it more. I guess if they were going to put a disc hub on they would have put disc brakes on as well. I wasn't going to pry it off, I just wasn't sure what he meant. It's not really worth buying a new wheel (nor is it worth installing a new hub on that wheel), so I'll just have to stick with linear pull for now.
