A permanent memorial for bicyclists killed on the streets here was recently installed just north of downtown Tucson.

Read more about it in the Arizona Daily Star. (http://www.azstarnet.com/metro/305204) or the Tucson Citizen (http://tucsoncitizen.com/art/2009/08/16/bike-sanctuary-inaugural-in-barrio-anita/).

This good-hearted effort may -- or may not -- have an impact of cycling's 'visibility' for the city of Tucson.

There's still too many opinionated yutzes out there, preaching their hate and misinformation about traffic -- they bloated the comments section, and flamed it way too much. Some even decried the use of 'their tax money memorializing people who don't obey the law'.

I guess there's no bottom to the barrel of drivers' entitlement.
