Yeah, I just used some electrical tape to wrap around my IRO logos, since there's pretty much no way of taking them off. Maybe it'd be cool to use cloth bar tape? But that's certainly more costly than just electrical tape.
Why are you taping your frame anyway? Is it to hide the logos?

Just at the hardware store?
Yeah, to hide logos and to add some color.

I heard gaffer's tape is good
gaffer's tape is badass but it's porous and won't hold up in the weather...
I use electrical tape myself; it's cheap, stretchy, good adhesive but not so intense it'll pull the paint when you take it off.
3M also makes a clear tape called Helicopter tape; this is tough as hell and completely transparent, but it's expensive for tape.

Gaffer's tape is too strong. If your frame is painted it will probably tear the paint off from the frame when removed. If it's powdercoated, it will just leave behind an awful sticky residue that will be hell to get off.

Perhaps your thinking of something else? Gaffer's tape is designed to remove easily, specifically not leaving a residue. It also tears really nicely.
It's also a lot more expensive than duct/duck or electrical tape.

Maybe I'm thinking of Gorilla tape!
