Texas - Bike Racks on DART Buses

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

How do you use the racks on the busses and trains? I am new to DART and biking. I currently have a 75 mile commute and would like to use DART part of the way but the bus stop is 5 miles from work, so I would like to take my bike. I don't want to upset the other DART passangers by taking too long figuring out how to stow my bike.
Here's a web page that explains it:

Click the picture down the page a bit for the tutorial video.

No worries on upsetting the other passengers. It is really quick to throw your bike on a swing the locking arm into place. If there is anyone else at the bus stop with you, you'll have the bike on and be in the door before they even get their money into the fare box.

So, how much is the fare now?

Where will you be catching the bus?
Here are the fees:
DAY PASSES
All Day Passes valid for unlimited rides on the date of purchase only through 3 a.m. the following day.
Local $3.00
Premium $5.00
Reduced $1.50
SINGLE-RIDE FARES
Single-ride options are good for 90 minutes of train travel or a single bus trip (no transfers). Rail Only Tickets are not valid on buses.
Local $1.50
Premium $2.50
Reduced $.75
"Reduced" is for seniors and students, I think.
The racks are quick to bring down and fast to load. In most cases the operation is so fast any other passagners will still be stanind in line to pay.

I would be catching the train at Red Bird transfer station, taking that into downtown then catching a bus into Carrolton.
