I think the most annoying advert hands down is the Bob Roll "Ride with Lance" commercial. If seeing him in shorts isn't bad enough we have to watch him do his infamous hand gestures while prancing around.

That one even showed up on the sucky rabbit ears coverage which is the only thing I get out here.
I'm not gonna buy a dish just for 3 weeks in July, and I watch too much TV already.
The coverage today skipped so much, didn't even show The Devil this year. The non-Lance coverage was pathetic, prolly less than 10 minuets for the 3 weeks. There are plenty of good storys of other riders from the USA, why not develop an intrest in them so when Lance is gone people will still care?
Did see a man of large size in a black Speedo running, will take weeks to clear out that image! Where did I put that mental floss???

I like the Cyclysm spots as well...and even though not a huge Kevin Smith fan, I did recognize Banky from 'Chasing Amy'. Hey, that character represents the inner voices of the crazed cycling fans we all are! :D

The USPS spot - it's about time the Postal Service got some mileage here in the US out of their sponsorship! My mother-in-law works for the Post Office and every year I ask her if they have any promo material for the team (team pics, posters, whatever). They have nothing - one year I got an Express Mail envelope that had LA's pic on it after he won his second TdF. Woopeee!! Anyway, it's nice to see them work in some of the domestic riders like Tony Cruz and Robbie Ventura (a local Chicago boy!) into the ads along with the likes of Landis and Armstrong. Witty and innovative spot. I wonder who Landis had to bribe to get them to allow him to wheelie in the commercial? ;)

Yes, I'm a Kevin Smith fan and yeah I recognised him as Jason Lee although it took me a while... like five times of seeing the commercial which given the amont of times they run it was within a half-hour. :D I just didn't think anyone else would know who he was.

He kind of reminded me of the two crazy brothers in Myst.

It cracked me up that "The Cyclism" spots were pretty much pulled after the Pyrenees when it became clear that LA wasn't going to have much competition. What marketing genius came up with that, anway?? Otherwise...love OLN and missed Bobke commercials!!
