Hi all. I did the ACC last year and am looking to repeat. We camped lasted year at the Warren Dunes, and it was great. This year our group will be a little larger, and we were hoping to rent a cottage or cozy place (near the lake?).

Any recommendations?

There used to be cottages available to rent south of St. Joe. Depending on how far north this ride goes, there aren't any cottages for rent on the lake until around South Haven. Now I am going back quite a few years as I grew up in SW Michigan. I will have to look into this ride, as SW Michigan is great to ride. Farm roads everywhere and some really good midwestern rollers.

Yeah, the ACC is a decent ride. It's a good fit for serious riders as well as family. I believe they go all the way down to a 15-mile route. http://www.applecidercentury.com/

As a proud Wisconsinite, I wasn't sure what to expect of SW Michigan, but the ride was beautiful and provided a good mix of forest and farmland, hills and flat stretches, and a long stretch down the Lake Michigan shore.

check out the Blue Heron Inn in LaPorte. Its on a lake and they have house boats for rent - they are anchored at all times and are seperated by a pier - fun and good eats/drinks on site
