Hi from Michigan. I just got back into riding after a little layoff of 20yrs or so. Have had a few road bikes over the years like my old Moto Mirage...loved that, it was my first "better-than-a huffy" ride. Then I got a drivers liscense :). On a return to biking at the age of 23 I bought a arctic-cat (yes, believe it or not) that had some decent equip on it but didnt like the cottered 3pc crank.

Now, it's been decades and I'm ready to return with this garage sale special my friend bought for me...it's a beauty. The bike is a '85 TREK 460 racer. I dont think it weighs an ounce over 20lbs...well maybe.

I've got a old Trek 1000 road bike. Trek makes some good stuff. My was pretty trouble free. Good bike but it hasn't been out of the garage since I got a recumbent this spring! Get it fixed up and get some miles under your belt. Welcome to the forums!

Thanx Brian! I've taken your suggestion to heart. Last nite my son and I clipped off a quick 8miler just on impulse. This bike is the bomb.
