I think the running of the bulls was actually invented to reduce the stupid population to begin with. Problem is, the fools are running too fast for the bulls to catch them. ;)

I think the festival where they have a big tomato fight is even stupider. Ever seen pictures of that?

At least running with the bulls provides some sort of crazy thrill that you can talk about for the rest of your life, but who the hell gives a crap about a big tomato fight?

Haha, one of my housemates just spent a semester in Spain, so I asked him about the run. He said he talked to some of the people there (fluent in Spanish), and they all said that only stupid tourists actually participate in the run. The Spaniards just sit back and watch and sell lot's T-shirts and bandaids.

I happen to like La Tomintino... I am thinking about going to it myself this year, but really as a spectator. I don't think I could take having tomato juice dripping through my hair and clothing. But it looks like a ton of fun. The running of the bulls just looks like tourist-y fun for stupid people who like to get gored.
