Ok, I have a San Marco Laser seat from the mid 80's. Nice seat. I like it and my butt is used to it.
The problem is that the seat rails are loose where they enter the plastic mounting holes (front and back) under the shell of the seat. So, when I am riding, the seats creaks and moans like I am riding a Royce Union gas pipe bike... ;). I dripped some teflon oil in these mounting holes but it was to no avail.
Any hints/tips besides buying a new seat? Get a grease gun and force grease inside?
Second question, I was reading in the recent brake pad thread that some newer brake pads with the concentric washers might not fit the slot in the vintage brake calibers. Right now I am riding on semi-vintage Aztec pads that are squealing like a Continental with the steel/chrome rims attempting to stop. These pads have the concentric washer that lets you toe in the brake shoe. So, if these pads can fit in my Superbe calipers, can I assume that the newer pads will fit too?
