It seems like the "official" races, at least crits, seem to getting fewer and fewer this late in the season in the SF bay area and I was wondering if anyone knew a good source to find what unofficial and training races might be going on. I am fairly new to the area so I don't know where to look except for pin up boards at bike shops.
I am also posting this in the road racing forum as well.
Thanks

Low key hill climbs. There's a web site. They are mostly in the south bay though.
SJBC has a race series that goes around Uvas reserviour.

Both are informal non USCF.

There's also cyclocross.

The Port of Oakland (POO) ride seems popular up there. I've never been to it, but I know plenty of racers who go regularly. I assume it will be happening until late September. Could be wrong.

With CX Season coming up soon, I'm hoping Track Fights (http://sexualcamel.blogspot.com/) in Brisbane start up again.

iirc, poo goes year round, but around winter is more hard tempo mode with many people on fixies.

In case you do not have it, here is a link to USCF races. http://ncnca.org/road/ There are a number of crits left in this season.

There is also http://scaledup.com/beattheclock/. This is a non-sanctioned training time trial. There is one next weekend. They are scheduled to precede sanctioned TTs.

If you are not a member, join usacycling and they will tee up the local events for you.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone. That is exactly what I was looking for, the stuff NOT included on the usacycling site, mainly stuff like the POO.

I just started going to the POO ride two weeks ago, it's a lot of fun. I'm not sure what time everyone gets there by though because I get there by 7pm but usually there is already a large group doing laps. I'm probably going to try and go earlier this time.
