I am wondering what length bottom bracket is needed for a Kilo TT frame (Bike Island). Also what you are you using? I know the bottom bracket needs to be 68mm english but what spindle length? 107mm, 110mm? Thanks.

It depends on the cranks, bro. :crash:

cool. still learning about all this stuff. i will have to do some more research.
the plan for now was to use the stock 170mm crank off my 06 langster. i guess i could get away with using the stock bottom bracket from the langster on the tt frame as well right?

Yes, if the bottom bracket is 68mm English.

its a standard 68mm fit. I know that sugino messengers, which are the usual crankset that's used (including mine) is a 103mm length. Omnium's are like 107-110mm?

hmmm. bikesdirect says the kilo is a "Sealed Cartridge 108mm PowerSpline". my langster has a 103mm length bottom bracket. does this mean i will need to get a new bottom bracket?
EDIT: now i looked at the bikedirect special color edition kilo tt info and it say "Sealed Cartridge 103mm or 108mm PowerSpline (NoChoice)". I guess it does not make that much of a difference or something.

It makes a difference in the crankset because some are different sizes and require different length BB's. If you have a 103mm square taper, you can get a sugino messenger and it should fit.
Bottom bracket spindle length is dependent on the cranks. A crank/bracket set will work on any bike that has an English threaded 68mm bottom bracket shell.
Fingers crossed for industry-wide jump to BB30. Any minute now...
