Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - After getting serious about biking last month (July 23)...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Last month I decided I wanted to lose some weight and began biking at work. I have enjoyed it so much I have already bike 301+/- miles this month, and looking to be around 425 for the month. I have dropped 20 lbs and I am feeling great. I am glad that I have started, and look forward to riding every day.

Congrats, and welcome to the addiction. :D
Good job. Nice to have you around.
Congratulations BullGatorTitan. Keep up the good work and don't stop pedaling.

No doubt it's an addiction. I am looking at doing a ride with 4 others next weekend of about 45-50 miles, then the following weekend a group ride of about 50 miles. Weekend after is a club ride with 4 different distances. I am thinking of doing the 69 mile ride. Then Oct 3&4 I am doing our MS 150 which is 172 miles (86 each day) with a century option for day 1 which I am thinking about doing (depends on how I am feeling). Then later in October are a couple of centuries, and I plan to do at least one o those.

Wow, you're quite an athlete!
If someone had suggested a 50mi ride to me when I first started riding again, I would have cried. (And then avoided their phone calls.)
